Overview
A hydrothermal liquefaction development package for wet organic residues, producing an intermediate biocrude and other process streams. The route avoids drying all feed water but requires high pressure equipment and careful heat recovery. Biocrude needs buyer qualification and typically further refining; it is not finished diesel.
Product capabilities
- Slurry preparation
- high pressure feed pump
- heat exchanger
- pressure rated reactor
- cooling and letdown
- phase separators
Feedstock and input
Characterized wet biosolids or organic slurry; assess grit, salts, corrosion and contaminants.
Core components
- Slurry preparation
- high pressure feed pump
- heat exchanger
- pressure rated reactor
- cooling and letdown
- phase separators
- biocrude tank
- aqueous stream treatment or selected catalytic conversion
- solids removal
- relief and shutdown controls
Process
Prepare slurry; thermally convert under pressure; recover heat; separate oil, water, gas and solids; qualify each outlet.
Design basis
Run feed trials and assess corrosion, fouling, pressure boundary design, heat integration and aqueous stream treatment.
IoT measurements
Slurry feed, pressure, temperature, product phases, heat use and aqueous stream laboratory results.
IoT architecture
Local PLC/HMI, buffered historian and secure gateway; remote alarms and reports. Cloud loss does not stop local control. See common architecture and acceptance tests.
Future capability
Analyze fouling indicators and close material and utility balances for engineering review.
Typical applications
U.S. wastewater resource recovery sites; global wet residue projects with specialist licensors and refining outlets.
Pilot validation
Validate biocrude quality, pressurized containment, sustained feed handling and treatment of all byproducts.

Architecture
Confirm data sources, field interfaces and operating requirements during discovery. Integration compatibility is reviewed for each deployment.
Integrations
Interface availability and supported protocols require product-specific confirmation.
Deployment
Scope, installation, security, acceptance criteria and training are agreed with the project team.
