Overview
A gasification package for suitable biomass or prepared residual fuel, producing syngas for a defined thermal or downstream conversion duty. The reactor operates with controlled oxidant supply. Gas cleaning and residue handling are selected together with the end user specification; raw syngas is not assumed suitable for engines or fuel synthesis.
Product capabilities
- Feed handling
- optional dryer
- metering feeder
- gasifier and refractory
- air or oxygen supply as selected
- gas cooler
Feedstock and input
Qualified biomass, selected biosolids or specified prepared fuel. Moisture, ash behavior and contaminants determine feasibility.
Core components
- Feed handling
- optional dryer
- metering feeder
- gasifier and refractory
- air or oxygen supply as selected
- gas cooler
- cyclone or filter
- tar treatment
- contaminant polishing
- ash extraction
- flare or oxidizer
- analyzers
- gas detection and PLC
Process
Prepare feed; gasify; cool and clean gas; verify composition; use in an approved burner or downstream process.
Design basis
Establish gas heating value, tar and particulate limits, ash fusion behavior, oxidant and auxiliary loads.
IoT measurements
Feed, oxidant flow, reactor temperature, pressure, syngas analysis and cleanup pressure drop.
IoT architecture
Local PLC/HMI, buffered historian and secure gateway; remote alarms and reports. Cloud loss does not stop local control. See common architecture and acceptance tests.
Future capability
Detect operating instability and reconcile gas quality with feed changes; operators maintain the approved envelope.
Typical applications
U.S. biomass and biosolids processors, industrial heat users and licensed renewable fuel developers.
Pilot validation
Prove gas specification, tar control, emissions, residue quality, net energy and sustained operation on actual feed.
Problem and deployment scope
Thermal conversion and syngas
How it works
- Feed handling
- optional dryer
- metering feeder
- gasifier and refractory
- air or oxygen supply as selected
- gas cooler
